Fulfillment Center Shipping Update!

Hey Saurians,

In my best efforts to keep you all informed, I wanted to give you an update on Sauria's shipping and how things are moving along. I officially have estimated arrival times to our fulfillment centers! Because of how shipping in Europe is right now, there is going to be a delay to our EU/UK backers. I really wanted to fulfill on time to ALL of our backers, but the customs process just takes too long going to the EU/UK to do that. Here are our estimated arrivals to the fulfillment centers:

US: September 5th

EU: October 15th

UK: October 20th

APAC and Rest of World: Arrived! (Note at the bottom**)

All of the games shipped out at the same time so you can really see the impact that the customs process has on shipping.

Now, I think it's really important I emphasize that these are not estimated delivery dates. This is an estimate of when the games will arrive at the fulfillment centers. Once they arrive, the centers need to do quality control and make sure that anyone who ordered miniatures has miniatures added into their shipment. This process takes 1-2 weeks. Once that's done, then they can ship out, which is much much faster (usually 2-4 days). 

Once everyone has received their copy, we'll be running an exciting giveaway for Sauria's upcoming expansion on our Facebook and Instagram! Be sure to stay connected so you don't miss out!

On another note, we have had a few changes to addresses. Changes in address can be made up until the games arrive at the fulfillment centers, but need to be made manually by us. So, if you need to make an address change, please send us a direct message with your new address and we can make that change for you :)

Shipping Update!

Hey Saurians,

It's been a few weeks since my last update and that is mainly because there isn't too much to talk about right now, so I will keep this update quick and to the point.

For starters, all of the games are on boats or trucks out in the world somewhere on their way to fulfillment centers. I wish I could say exactly when they will arrive at said fulfillment centers, but it's really hard to say, somewhere between 2 to 4 weeks. Once they arrive it will be a much faster process getting the games from the fulfillment centers to your door, but this is the slow boring part of the journey I am afraid. I will be sure to post an update as soon as games are being shipped from the fulfillment centers so you know when to expect them.

As the games make their way to these centers, our attention has been fixed on Sauria's expansion that is set to release in February.  It's shaping up to be a very exciting box of content and I can't wait to start sharing what we have in the works with all of you. Shipping Has Begun!

Hey Saurians,

I am very excited to say that shipping has started! Sauria has rolled out of the factory doors and is now on its way to our fulfillment centers. Currently, our estimated delivery for Sauria is sometime between late August and early September, with the exception of our APAC backers (more on that below). This is exciting because it means we will deliver right on schedule!

Our manufacturer sent two copies of the game directly to our door so I was able to make sure everything looks great and is as it should be. I am happy to report it all looks amazing! I have recorded an in-depth unboxing of the vinal version of the game so you can see what you'll be receiving. You can watch that video here:

Our miniatures are almost finished, we are just waiting on a couple more models but they should be finished in the next few days. Fortunately, because they are much smaller and easier to ship than the base game they should reach our distributors at the same time if not earlier. Here are a couple more shots of the minis (these are color tests so the final miniatures will look even better):

Because our factory is located in the APAC region (Asian Pacific), we do not need to ship through a distributor, so your copy will be coming straight from the factory. Our APAC backers can expect to get their copies within 30 days. However, your miniatures will not be shipped from the factory but rather from the UK, so this will result in you receiving your copy of Sauria and your miniatures at different times.

Final Call on Address Changes!

Hey Saurians,

I'm really happy to say that it's time for us to lock in addresses and begin the fulfillment process. The deadline for any address changes is July 1st.  If you want to change your address but can't find your link you can Click Here to access your pledge and make any needed adjustments. 

Once we have everyone's final addresses and orders we'll begin shipping out Sauria to our distributors. We'll also be shipping all miniatures to our distributors as well, once the minis and games are together they will begin shipping out to all of you!

*A note to our Asia/AU/NZ backers who chose to get miniatures, the miniatures will be arriving separately from the game to ensure there are not any major delays. If we shipped to our APAC distributor in Hong Kong it could take a long time to get through customs or could even be denied and sent back to our Mini Manufacturer in Europe which would obviously not be good. So if you do not receive the Miniatures with your base game, worry not, they will be on their way.

Speaking of Miniatures, I have some more shots from our Mini Manufacturer. Here's a small herd of T. rex. They've finished the Spinosaurus, Scientists, and Tyrannosaurs and are currently knocking out the Photographer and Paleontologists. 

In other news, there has been some interest by a handful of backers in having a French translation just like our German translation. Making these translations is a big undertaking on my part as well as the backer's but if you are up to the challenge I won't say no. If you would like to assist in this translation please feel free to message me along with a good email and I can add you to the translation Google Doc. Please understand that I will not do the translation unless the entire translation Google Doc is completed.  That being said one very excited backer has already begun translating! So if you'd like to join in and have the time and the skills let me know.

Final Stretch of Production, Boxing Video, and Digital German Translation!

Hey Saurians,

As the title of this update might suggest, I have some exciting news to share... Production for Sauria is (basically) finished! Components came out even better than expected and everything fits into the box like a glove. Below I have posted a boxing video (like an unboxing video but in reverse haha) to showcase what you will receive in the mail in the not-so-distant future.

As you can see, it's all looking beautiful and all the components are accounted for, with the exception of two things: Dice and Miniatures. 

The Dice are already finalized and look great but we had a small issue with coloring on a batch of them so we had to reorder some, this should be fixed in about a week.

The Miniatures are being made by a small miniature printing company and so their speed is not quite as fast as our primary manufacturer's, but they are coming along just fine. Currently, they are about 50% done with our order and should be finished with all the miniatures in about 7-10 days. Below is a nice shot they sent over of a group of Scientists (obviously off to a science convention).

So once those two items are finished, we'll be ready to move on to fulfillment, which is just a fancy way of saying sending you your game!

Another exciting piece of news is the huge progress on Sauria's German translation.  In case this translation is news to you, let me explain what we've done. Because we're an indy publisher with a modest English print run, having a print run in another language was just impossible for us. 

However, that wasn't going to stop us from trying to make the game more accessible. Since a fair amount of our backers wanted a German translation of the game, we teamed up with 10 of our German-speaking backers who volunteered their time and effort to make a full digital translation of Sauria. As of right now, they are just a few rule book pages away from completing the translation! They had so much work to do (you don't think about how many words are in a board game until you go through every single card and rulebook page) and they completed it in expert time! Once they're finished, I will use their translations to make German versions of all of Sauria's cards, boards, and rulebook. I'll then upload all of the files so anyone who wants to reference them or print them out can do so. 

I know this isn't the same as having a physical translation, but it's the best a small publisher like us can do, and that's what we want to give our backers, the best we can do. Again, a huge shoutout to the backers who volunteer to help with this. Their names will be in the back of the digital rulebook, so you'll know who to thank.
